Lamar Jackson Is Good to Go vs. Browns; Two Offensive Weapons Ruled Out

Lamar Jackson is good to go Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, but he'll be without two offensive weapons.

Jackson missed Wednesday's practice due to knee soreness coming out of Baltimore's win in Minnesota last Sunday. Jackson said the injury was just part of playing football.

The two-time MVP returned at full capacity on Thursday and was a full participant again on Friday. He carries no injury designation into Sunday's game at Huntington Bank Field.

Jackson will be without one of his top running backs, however, as Justice Hill has been ruled out due to a toe injury. Hill returned to practice on Friday but was limited. Hill has scored three touchdowns this season and is a key part of the Ravens' third-down packages.

That means Keaton Mitchell, who Head Coach John Harbaugh already wanted to get more involved, could have an even larger snap share as Derrick Henry's backup. The Ravens know they need to run the ball better than they did in their last meeting with the Browns.

Wide receiver Rashod Bateman (ankle), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (finger), and inside linebacker Jay Higgins IV (knee) have also been ruled out. Bateman has the fourth-most receiving yards (194) on the team and two touchdowns.

Devontez Walker will be the next man up at wide receiver, Harbaugh said. It will be Walker's first game action since Week 5 and a rematch against the Browns after he caught two touchdown passes against them in Week 2. DeAndre Hopkins and/or Tylan Wallace could also see more action, and the Ravens could lean more on their tight ends.

"I feel good about the guys [we have]. I feel we're deep at receiver," Harbaugh said.

Without Humphrey, who had a pin inserted into his dislocated finger this week, the Ravens will likely use more of veteran outside cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, who is coming off one of his best games in Minnesota, and undrafted rookie Keyon Martin in the slot.

Outside linebacker Mike Green (ankle) is questionable to play. He was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant and didn't practice Friday. The rookie has played more than 70% of the Ravens' defensive snaps the past four weeks (tops among the team's outside linebackers) and is coming off one of his best games.

"He's doing good," Harbaugh said. "He didn't practice today. We'll see how he is tomorrow and then into Sunday."

If Green isn't able to play, Dre'Mont Jones would see more action in his second game as a Raven. Jones played 60% of the Ravens' defensive snaps in his debut and had four pressures, but he's capable of handling a larger share. He played 83% of the Titans' defensive snaps the week before being traded to Baltimore.

The Browns ruled out defensive end Alex Wright (quad), who has three sacks and 24 tackles this season. Defensive tackle Maliek Collins, who has the second-most sacks on the team (four), is questionable after popping up on Friday's injury report as a limited participant due to an oblique injury.
