The Ravens will get several players back for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, but Lamar Jackson isn't one of them.

Jackson (hamstring) has been ruled out for a second straight game, meaning Cooper Rush will start again and Tyler Huntley will be the backup. The hope is that Jackson can come back after Baltimore's Week 7 bye against the Chicago Bears.

The Ravens are getting healthier, but ruled out five players in addition to Jackson for Sunday's game:

  • CB Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring)
  • FB Patrick Ricard (calf)
  • ILB Roquan Smith (hamstring)
  • WR Devontez Walker (oblique)
  • OL Emery Jones Jr. (shoulder)

The good news is that three Pro Bowlers, safety Kyle Hamilton (groin), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf), and left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), are all slated to play against the Rams after missing last week's loss. They all practiced fully Friday and don't carry an injury designation.

Getting Hamilton and Humphrey back in the secondary is huge for a Ravens defense that has given up the most points in the league and ranks No. 31 in pass defense, especially before facing a Rams offense featuring the league's leading passer, Matthew Stafford, and leading receiver, Puka Nacua.

The player to monitor before Sunday's game is wide receiver Zay Flowers, who was limited in practice all week and is questionable to play. Flowers is tied for eighth in the NFL with 377 receiving yards.

Even the Ravens who are sidelined seem closer to returning after the bye. Smith appeared to have a pre-practice workout as he was spotted walking off the field in street clothes. Awuzie returned to practice Friday on a limited basis. Head Coach John Harbaugh said Bears game is the target for Ricard's return after he had two limited practices this week.
