Lamar Jackson, Two More Ravens Starters Not Practicing

The Ravens' perfect practice attendances of last week are over, as Lamar Jackson and four others are not at practice Wednesday as the Ravens prepare to take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday.

Jackson didn't suffer any noticeable injury or miss any snaps in Sunday's 27-19 win in Minnesota. He missed three games earlier this season due to a hamstring injury.

If Jackson weren't able to play, Tyler Huntley would start against the Browns. Huntley, who scored a win against the Chicago Bears as the Ravens' Week 8 starter, spent training camp in Cleveland before being released on Aug. 24.

Two other Ravens starters, wide receiver Rashod Bateman (ankle) and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (finger), are also not practicing. Humphrey was reportedly deciding whether he would have surgery on his finger.

On Monday, Head Coach John Harbaugh said the Ravens were waiting to see how serious Bateman's injury was after a hip-drop tackle led to a sprained ankle. According to a report from The Baltimore Sun, Bateman is not expected to play in Cleveland.

If that's the case, it could mean a return to action for Devontez Walker, who scored two touchdowns against the Browns at M&T Bank Stadium in Week 2.

Running back Justice Hill and rookie linebacker Jay Higgins IV (knee) are also not practicing Wednesday.

Hill has scored three touchdowns this season as the No. 2 running back, but Keaton Mitchell could be in line for a larger role. Harbaugh said Higgins, who has played 61% of the Ravens' special teams snaps, is going to be sidelined for a few weeks.
