The Ravens got some good news with their injured players Thursday, but one went in the wrong direction.
Cornerback Nate Wiggins (elbow) and left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) are back at practice after exiting Sunday's game in Kansas City.
However, safety Kyle Hamilton (groin) is not on the field at the start of practice after being limited Wednesday and quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is still not practicing.
The Ravens are 1-3 and the injury concerns are widespread as they head into a huge game against the Houston Texans Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
Not only has Wiggins been one of the Ravens' top defensive players so far this season, but it's especially crucial considering fellow cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey (calf) and Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring) are both still sidelined.
Having Stanley would be huge for an offense set to face one of the best pass rush duos in the league in the Texans' Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr., who have seven sacks combined through four games.
If Hamilton is unable to play Sunday, it would subtract yet another Pro Bowler from Baltimore's bottom-ranked defense that already needs a rebound performance. Inside linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) is still sidelined, and defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) and defensive lineman Broderick Washington Jr. (ankle) are on injured reserve.
Hamilton is also one of the Ravens' most versatile players and a key to their defensive scheme. Second-year safety Sanoussi Kane would be in line for his first career start as Hamilton's backup.
If Jackson cannot play, Cooper Rush would get the start at quarterback and Tyler Huntley would also suit up.
Center Tyler Linderbaum (calf), who was limited in Wednesday's practice, is back on the field at the start Thursday. Wide receiver Devontez Walker (oblique) returned to action as well. Fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) is still not practicing.
