Travis Jones Returns to Practice, But Five Starters Still Sidelined

The Ravens' defensive line got some good news Thursday as starting nose tackle Travis Jones (knee) returned to practice.

Jones is a critical part of Baltimore's defensive front, which is looking to bounce back Sunday in Kansas City after yielding 224 rushing yards to the Detroit Lions.

However, fellow starting defensive tackle Broderick Washington Jr. (ankle) is still not back at practice and Pro Bowler Nnamdi Madubuike was ruled out by Head Coach John Harbaugh on Wednesday.

Adding to the Ravens' injury concerns is that left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) is missing a second straight day of practice. If Stanley can't play, the Ravens would likely turn to veteran Joe Noteboom, who has started 35 games over his eight-year career.

Fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) is still not back on the field. Outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) did come out onto a side field in street clothes for a workout, signaling that a return may not be too far off.

With a banged-up defensive line, the Ravens will likely need veteran John Jenkins and rookie Aeneas Peebles to play larger roles against the Chiefs. Baltimore also signed two defensive tackles, Josh Tupou and Taven Bryan, to its practice squad this week.
