Ravens Re-Sign CB Shareece Wright

The Baltimore Ravens will hold a 1 p.m. press conference today (Monday, March 7) at the Under Armour Performance Center to announce the re-signing of CB Shareece Wright, who has agreed to a three-year deal.

Head coach John Harbaugh, defensive coordinator Dean Pees and Wright will all be in attendance for the media availability.

A five-year NFL veteran, Wright originally signed with Baltimore on Oct. 13, 2015, and played in 11 games for the Ravens last season. Posting 40 tackles (34 solo) and five passes defensed, Wright started seven contests for a defense that ranked No. 8 in the NFL in total yards allowed (337.4 ypg).

In the season's final eight games (five of which Wright started), Baltimore permitted the NFL's fewest net passing yards (183.3 ypg) and the second-fewest total net yards (291.1 ypg).

Wright has played in 55 career games (34 starts), producing 163 tackles (149 solo), one interception, one forced fumble and 25 passes defensed. The San Diego Chargers originally selected him in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
