Five Matchups to Watch in Joint Practices With Vikings
Nate Wiggins will have his hands full with Justin Jefferson, while Trey Hendrickson will face a healthy Christian Darrisaw.

CB Nate Wiggins vs. WR Justin Jefferson: Jefferson had a trying 2025 season. His target share was still sky-high, but he tallied 17-game lows in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Even so, Jefferson is one of the league's most electric wideouts, and Wiggins, who returned to practice on Monday, will still face him despite returning from a lower-leg injury on Monday. The Ravens believe Wiggins can emerge as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL this season, and a matchup against Jefferson is a good measuring stick.

OLB Trey Hendrickson vs. T Christian Darrisaw: When healthy, Hendrickson and Darrisaw are some of the league's best players at their respective positions. Both players have suffered season-ending injuries within the past two seasons, but they've looked healthy and have played well this offseason, making this one of the premier matchups of any joint practice across the NFL.

Ravens defense vs. QB Kyler Murray: A former No. 1 overall pick, Murray is trying to revitalize his career with the Vikings after seven seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Recently named the Vikings' starter, Murray only quarterbacked one series in Minnesota's preseason opener. The speedster will face his toughest test of the summer against a Ravens defense aiming to get back to being one of the NFL's best.

G Vega Ioane vs. DL Caleb Banks: Both rookies filled dire positional needs, but Ioane has played like a seasoned veteran while Banks is still working his way back from a foot injury that limited him to just three games at Florida last season. After a solid outing in his preseason debut against the Philadelphia Eagles, albeit a short one, Ioane has another chance to prove his readiness against a fellow first-round pick selected just four spots later at No. 18 overall.

Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle vs. Defensive Coordinator Brian Flores: There's a wide gap in experience between Doyle, a 29-year-old first-time play caller, and Flores, who's 16 years older, coached in the NFL since 2008, and is known for an exotic heavy blitz scheme that makes him one of the league's most respected coordinators. Doyle's offense will have its work cut out for it in Minnesota, where the Vikings have had one of the league's top defenses since Flores' arrival in 2023. It's also a good chance for Doyle to practice his playcalling against one of the league's best on the other side.
