Purple will rise once again as we bring back our Purple Rising alternate helmet for its second season on the field. First introduced last year, this alternate helmet features a metallic purple rising painted shell with gold talon lines, a gold face mask, and the front-facing Ravens logo—best known for the red eyes that adorn the player entrance tunnel at M&T Bank Stadium. Purple Rising remains just the third helmet version to be worn by the Ravens since the franchise's 1996 inception.

About the Front Facing Logo

A front facing Raven logo was part of our original logo system in 1996. When the primary logo was updated, the secondary mark was also revised so the structure of the eyes would match by accentuating the red and white design still used today.
