The Ravens' reported losses on Day 1 of free agency lasted well into the night, as safety Alohi Gilman agreed to leave for Kansas City.
It's a three-year deal worth $24.75 million, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, as Gilman cashed in after being a midseason trade acquisition by the Ravens.
Gilman helped stabilize Baltimore's secondary after coming to Baltimore in a swap for pass rusher Odafe Oweh and Day 3 draft picks.
Gilman started 12 games, made 68 tackles, and broke up six passes. His most memorable play may have been when he took a handoff from Kyle Van Noy after an interception and raced 84 yards for a touchdown to finish off a shutout in Cincinnati.
The Chiefs were in need of help in their secondary after losing both of their starting cornerbacks, Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Ravens will now likely pursue a third safety to supplement Kyle Hamilton and Malaki Starks and allow Hamilton to play in a variety of roles. Baltimore's other free agent safety, Ar'Darius Washington, is also reportedly leaving.
It has been a day of heavy reported free agent losses for the Ravens, as Gilman marks the seventh departure, following Tyler Linderbaum (Raiders), Isaiah Likely (Giants), Dre'Mont Jones (Patriots), Charlie Kolar (Chargers), Jordan Stout (Giants), and Washington (Giants).
