I don't know if you've heard, but our Ravens - a team that had just lost four straight games - crushed our biggest rival and are once again in first place of the AFC North. We've only had three and half days to celebrate this victory, so let's wring the last few drops of sweet nectar out of those dumb yellow towels before we play the Browns tonight.
Some Savory Statistics Sorted Somewhat Sloppily:
- In his 12 seasons as a Steeler, Ben Roethlisberger has only won in Baltimore twice. He has a career record of 2-9 when playing at M&T Bank Stadium.
- Going into Week 9, Le'Veon Bell was averaging 4.9 yards per carry. The Ravens defense held him to just 2.3 Crying Jordans per carry. Incredible.
- The Ravens have beaten the Steelers in four straight meetings. That's a Dilfer's dozen!
- We have the second best defense in the NFL, but are leading the league in scaring the Bejesus out of everyone during the fourth quarter.
At the midway point of the season, our record is split at 4-4. Some could look at that and say we're mediocre, but I think we're just getting started. We're leading the division and we haven't even played our best football yet. Did I mention that we BEAT THE STEELERS TO CLAIM FIRST PLACE OF THE AFC NORTH?
