Another Raven is heading to New York.
Fullback Patrick Ricard will follow John Harbaugh after reportedly agreeing to a two-year deal with the New York Giants to make him the highest-paid fullback in the league, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Ricard had been with the Ravens for nine seasons as an instrumental cog of the Ravens offense. He is a six-time Pro Bowler who helped block for some of the league's top rushing attacks.
In 2024, Baltimore had the No. 1 offense in the league and averaged an NFL-best 187.6 rushing yards per game. In 2019, the Ravens' ground attack set the record for 3,296 rushing yards in a season.
Ricard got his start with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Maine. He was a rare two-way player at defensive tackle and fullback until he transitioned into a full-time fullback in 2020. The 31-year-old went down with a calf injury in training camp last season, forcing him to miss the first six games.
Ricard is the fourth Ravens' free agent to follow Harbaugh to the Giants. Safety Ar'Darius Washington, tight end Isaiah Likely, and punter Jordan Stout have all reportedly agreed to sign with the team.
The Ravens kept undrafted rookie fullback Lucas Scott on their practice squad all of last season. It also remains to be seen how much new Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle plans to deploy a fullback, if at all. His former team, the Chicago Bears, did not have a true fullback last season.
