Ravens Announce Bye Week Schedule

The bye week is the one chance in the NFL where players and coaches have a little time to relax, and step away from the game.

As the Ravens head into their bye this weekend, Head Coach John Harbaugh told the media Monday that the players would be at the Under Armour Performance Center through Wednesday for practice and meetings. After Wednesday morning's practice, the players will be released to enjoy the long weekend.

"We've got a lot to improve on," Harbaugh said. "We're going to spend the next two days working on those things with the guys here. And then we will let them out of here Wednesday afternoon, as per the rules, and try to get some rest and do all the evaluations that we always do on the bye week and see what we can improve and be the best team we can be moving forward."

Players often get out of Baltimore to visit their hometowns, take a quick vacation or just relax to recover from a grueling season.

"It's time to get away from football and enjoy the family a little bit," running back Ray Rice said after Sunday's game.

The NFL's Collective Bargaining Agreement mandates that players have off Thursday-Sunday during their bye, but there is no kind of stipulation for the coaching staff. Coaches put in long hours throughout the season, and Harbaugh did not specify if that would change much this week.

"We'll see how it goes," Harbaugh said. "We've got a lot of work to do, so we'll just go to work and see what happens."
