30 Years: The Best Game in Every Ravens Season
As the Ravens kick off their 30th season, here's a look back at the best games.

1996 – Week 1: Ravens 19, Raiders 14
The Ravens' first game in franchise history was a dramatic win at Memorial Stadium. Rookie linebacker Ray Lewis had a critical interception in the end zone in the first half, and running back Earnest Byner punched in a 1-yard touchdown with about a minute left to cap a comeback win.

1997 – Week 4: Ravens 36 @ Oilers 10
The Ravens flexed their offensive firepower with Vinny Testaverde throwing for 318 yards and three touchdowns. Jermaine Lewis had eight grabs for 124 yards and Derrick Alexander caught two touchdowns. Baltimore held young Oilers running back Eddie George to 40 rushing yards and picked off Steve McNair once.

1998 – Week 13: Ravens 31, Colts 21
Colts rookie quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns, but Baltimore scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, capped by a 36-yard touchdown run by Priest Holmes to take the lead late in the fourth quarter.

1999 – Week 14: Ravens 41, Titans 14
The Titans came into the game with a 10-2 record and eventually represented the AFC in the Super Bowl. On this day, however, Baltimore dominated with 290 passing yards and three touchdowns from Tony Banks. Qadry Ismail had a then-franchise record 258 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

2000 – Super Bowl XXXV: Ravens 34, Giants 7
The best defense in NFL history led the Ravens to their first Super Bowl victory by dominating the Giants with five takeaways, including four interceptions and a 49-yard pick-six by Duane Starks. Ray Lewis was all over the field and named the Super Bowl MVP. The Ravens defense pitched a shutout, as the Giants' only points came off a kickoff return, which Jermaine Lewis answered with an 84-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

2001 – Week 11: Ravens 24 @ Jaguars 21
The Ravens rallied from 14 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the Jaguars on "Sunday Night Football" in Jacksonville. Elvis Grbac led two late touchdown drives and Shannon Sharpe caught the game-winner with nine seconds left.

2002 – Week 12: Ravens 13, Titans 12
Ravens rookie safety Ed Reed, en route to a Defensive Rookie of the Year campaign, scored the game's only touchdown when he blocked a punt after the Titans went three-and-out on their first drive and returned it 11 yards for a touchdown.

2003 - Week 2: Ravens 33, Browns 13
Jamal Lewis kicked off his historic 2,000-yard rushing season with 295 rushing yards against the Browns, which then set the record for most rushing yards in a single game in NFL history.

2004 – Week 3: Ravens 23 @ Bengals 9
Baltimore's defense forced five turnovers, including two Ed Reed interceptions and a Ray Lewis fumble recovery. They were the first of nine interceptions Reed recorded that season on his way to Defensive Player of the Year honors.

2005 – Week 15: Ravens 48, Packers 3
It was a tough season for the Ravens, but they smoked Brett Favre and the Packers on "Monday Night Football" in Baltimore. The Ravens defense chased Favre from the game with a pair of interceptions, then picked off his rookie backup, Aaron Rodgers. Kyle Boller had one of his best games with 253 passing yards and three touchdowns. The Ravens' 48 points were the most they had scored in a game since 1996.

2006 – Week 12: Ravens 27, Steelers 0
This was the game that featured linebacker Bart Scott's epic de-cleating sack on Ben Roethlisberger. Baltimore's defense dominated Roethlisberger with nine sacks, two interceptions, and just 172 total yards allowed. Steve McNair threw three touchdowns, including two to tight end Todd Heap.

2007 – Week 5: Ravens 9 @ 49ers 7
It was one of the Ravens' worst seasons, but they scored a satisfying road win on the West Coast early in the year. Baltimore was facing former coach Mike Nolan and former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Trent Dilfer. The Ravens held Dilfer to just 126 yards passing, and Matt Stover provided all of Baltimore's scoring while 49ers kicker Joe Nedney missed a 52-yarder late in the fourth quarter to preserve the Ravens' win.

2008 - Week 16 – Ravens 33 @ Cowboys 24
The Ravens were surging with first-year Head Coach John Harbaugh and rookie quarterback Joe Flacco but went into the final game at Texas Stadium as heavy underdogs. However, 77-yard and 82-yard touchdown runs by Willis McGahee and Le'Ron McClain, respectively, with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter stunned the stadium and clinched a playoff berth for the Ravens.

2009 – Wild-Card Playoffs: Ravens 33 @ Patriots 14
The Ravens basically won the game in the first quarter by jumping out to a 24-0 lead. Ray Rice broke off an 83-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage. Terrell Suggs sack-stripped Tom Brady on the Patriots' first third down, and the Ravens were off to the races.

2010 – Week 4: Ravens 17 @ Steelers 14
It was a tough defensive slugfest, but the Ravens won on an 18-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to T.J. Houshmandzadeh with 32 seconds left, stunning Steelers fans in their own stadium.

2011 – Week 9: Ravens 23 @ Steelers 20
The Ravens-Steelers rivalry was at its peak and Joe Flacco and rookie wide receiver Torrey Smith stunned Heinz Field with a 26-yard touchdown with eight seconds left after Smith had dropped a game-winner earlier on the drive.

2012 – Super Bowl XLVII: Ravens 34, 49ers 31
The Ravens won their second Super Bowl behind more big plays from the offense and Joe Flacco, who threw three touchdowns, a 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Jacoby Jones, and a goal-line stand by the defense late in the fourth quarter that held off a furious 49ers comeback after the Superdome lights went out. The "Mile High Miracle" divisional playoff win was perhaps more thrilling, but the Super Bowl takes the top spot.

2013 – Week 14: Ravens 29, Vikings 26
The snow game was perhaps the most stunning game in M&T Bank Stadium history, as 36 points were scored in the final two minutes, seven seconds. Jacoby Jones had a 77-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, but the Vikings kept coming back. Marlon Brown hauled in a toe-tapping touchdown with four seconds left for the final dagger.

2014 – Wild-Card Playoffs: Ravens 30 @ Steelers 17
The Ravens went into Pittsburgh and crushed the Steelers. This game is best remembered by Terrell Suggs' "Thighmaster" interception when he caught the ball between his legs. Crockett Gillmore plunged the dagger with a 21-yard touchdown on the ensuing drive.

2015 – Week 12: Ravens 33 @ Browns 27
The Browns were lining up for a potential game-winning 51-yard field goal on "Monday Night Football." Instead, defensive end Brent Urban blocked the kick and safety Will Hill returned it 64 yards for a walk-off Ravens touchdown known as the "Kick Six."

2016 – Week 9: Ravens 21, Steelers 14
Wide receiver Mike Wallace burned his former team with a 95-yard touchdown in the first quarter, Chris Moore returned a blocked punt for a touchdown, and the Ravens snapped a four-game losing streak coming out of the bye.

2017 – Week 1: Ravens 20, Bengals 0
The Ravens picked off Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton four times (C.J. Mosley, Jimmy Smith, Lardarius Webb, Brandon Carr) to start the season off right. Running back Terrance West ran for 80 yards and a touchdown.

2018 – Week 17: Ravens 26, Browns 24
The Ravens hadn't made the playoffs for three straight years, and it was looking dicey as Baker Mayfield drove the Browns down the field and to the brink of field-goal range in the final minutes. That's when linebacker C.J. Mosley made a leaping interception to seal the game and bring the AFC North crown back to Baltimore.

2019 – Week 1: Ravens 59 @ Dolphins 10
Lamar Jackson kicked off his first MVP season and showed how much he progressed by throwing five touchdowns and 324 passing yards, good for the first perfect passer rating of his career. Afterwards, he quipped, "Not bad for a running back."

2020 – Week 14, Ravens 47 @ Browns 42
It was a shootout between Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield and it didn't look good when Jackson briefly left the "Monday Night Football" game in the fourth quarter due to cramps. However, he returned in the nick of time to throw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Brown on fourth-and-5 with 1:51 left. Justin Tucker won the game with a 55-yard field goal with two seconds left.

2021 – Week 2: Ravens 36, Chiefs 35
The Chiefs were the defending Super Bowl champions, but they came into M&T Bank Stadium for a rocking "Sunday Night Football" game. Lamar Jackson flipped into end zone for his second rushing touchdown of the fourth quarter with 3:14 left to take the lead. Ravens rookie outside linebacker Odafe Oweh secured the win with a forced fumble and recovery as the Chiefs were in fringe field-goal range.

2022 – Week 5: Ravens 19, Bengals 17
The Bengals came to Baltimore for "Thursday Night Football" and Joe Burrow was held to just 217 passing yards. He also got picked off by former LSU teammate Patrick Queen. Justin Tucker hit a 43-yard field goal at the buzzer to win it.

2023 – Week 16 (Christmas): Ravens 33 @ 49ers 19
Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio predicted the 49ers were going to "kick the s—" out of the Ravens on Christmas. Instead, Baltimore delivered a lump of coal with five interceptions (four on starter Brock Purdy), including two by Kyle Hamilton. Lamar Jackson threw two touchdowns and called out "Mike Flores" after the game.

2024 – Wild-Card Playoffs: Ravens 28, Steelers 14
Hosting their rivals in the playoffs for the first time, the Ravens bullied the Steelers with 299 rushing yards, including 186 and two touchdowns by Derrick Henry. Lamar Jackson also rushed for 81 yards as the Ravens had a 21-point lead in the third quarter in a blowout.
