10 Ravens Who Stood Out at Joint Practices
The Ravens' defense had two dominant days in Minnesota.

WR Rashod Bateman: Back in Minnesota, where he went to college, Bateman had a strong practice on Wednesday with his college coach, P.J. Fleck, in attendance. Bateman made a tough catch in traffic during 7-on-7s and was part of the Ravens' solution to the Vikings' heavy blitz with multiple catches on quick passes.

C Jovaughn Gwyn: Gwyn stepped into the first-team offense after Danny Pinter went down with a reported knee injury that will sideline him for extended time. After building momentum in the preseason opener, Gwyn kept it rolling in Minnesota, where he looked strong in 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 pass protection reps. Head Coach Jesse Minter said Gwyn played "really well" against a heavy Vikings blitz attack when he watched Wednesday's tape.

S Kyle Hamilton: The Vikings already regretted not drafting Hamilton when they had the chance in 2022, and he made them feel it even more during the joint practices. Hamilton was a problem for their short passing game, where he had multiple breakups and showed up multiple times with hits in the run game.

OLB Trey Hendrickson: Hendrickson matched up against one of the more talented left tackles in the NFL in Christian Darrisaw and won both days. The Ravens veteran had a couple of sacks on Thursday, both coming on third down situations. He continues to show he's ready to make a big impact in his first year in Baltimore.

CB Marlon Humphrey: Humphrey may have been the Ravens' top performer over the two days. The secondary as a whole had a dominant day on Wednesday, with Humphrey putting the clamps on talented Vikings receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison on Thursday. Humphrey broke up or forced an incompletion on five passes to the duo while allowing just one completion.

CB Nate Wiggins: It's tough to say who had a better two days between Humphrey and Wiggins. After Jefferson rose high to pluck a catch over Wiggins on Wednesday, the Ravens corner bounced back to break up a deep shot to Addison. On Thursday, Wiggins cracked down on a short red-zone slant intended for Jefferson and also forced an incompletion on an end zone shot to the Vikings' All-Pro receiver.

G Vega Ioane: While the Ravens' offensive line was under siege for two days, Ioane mostly held his own. He also looked good during 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 drills. After Thursday's practice, veteran left tackle Ronnie Stanley said, "Vega is ready to play. I am not worried about him one bit. ⊠He is going to be a great player for us."

S Keondre Jackson: Jackson brought his trademark energy to the joint practices, both on defense and special teams. He closed quick on an out-route for a breakup during 11-on-11 action on Wednesday and also slammed a Viking to the turf during a punt coverage drill. His special teams reps were must-see action.

WR Ja'Kobi Lane: Lane caught a bomb from Lamar Jackson during 1-on-1 action Wednesday and showed off his red-zone prowess on Thursday, hauling in a pair of touchdowns. The rookie capped it with a monstrous spike and celebratory scream, as it's clear that he built even more momentum from his hot start in training camp and the preseason.

CB Keyon Martin: Martin continues to make plays. He stood tall breaking up a pass in the back of the end zone intended for veteran receiver Jauan Jennings, who has a six-inch height advantage. Martin also got a hand on a couple passes Wednesday and showed his feistiness when he got into a little scrum with a Viking during special teams drills.
