Biography

ANDY BISCHOFF is in his sixth year with the Ravens and his fourth working with the tight ends group. Bischoff helps lead a talented group of young tight ends, including Pro Bowl TE Mark Andrews, who led the team with 64 receptions, 852 receiving yards and 10 TDs in 2019. Andrews was an integral part of the offense, which set a number of team records en route to a franchise-best 14-2 season and the AFC North title. The 2019 Ravens established single-season marks for TDs (64), points (531), net yards (6,521), rushing yards (3,296), first downs (386) and fewest turnovers (15). Baltimore ranked No. 1 in points (33.2) and rushing yards (206.0) per game, while they were No. 2 in total yards (407.6). The tight end trio of Andrews, Nick Boyle and Hayden Hurst comprised three of the Ravens' top five receivers in 2019. Bischoff served as offensive assistant/tight ends in 2018, when Baltimore posted a then-franchise-record 5,999 total yards and boasted the NFL's No. 2 rushing attack (152.6 ypg). In 2017, Bischoff aided a tight ends unit that helped the offense finish ranked ninth in points (24.7 ppg) and tied for seventh in both fewest giveaways (17) and sacks allowed (27). In 2016, he split time with the quarterbacks and wide receivers, helping QB Joe Flacco set a franchise record with 4,317 passing yards. Additionally, WR Mike Wallace tallied his third-career 1,000-yard season (1,017 on 72 receptions), while WR Steve Smith Sr. registered 70 catches for 799 yards and a team-high 5 TDs. In 2015, Bischoff was part of a Baltimore offense that posted a single-season franchise-record 4,271 net passing yards. Bischoff originally joined the NFL coaching ranks with the Chicago Bears in 2013 as the TEs coach/staff coordinator, where they set a single-season franchise-record with 6,109 total net yards on offense. In 2014, Bischoff tutored a group led by TE Martellus Bennett, who finished first in receptions (90) and third in receiving yards (916) among NFL tight ends, and earning a trip to the Pro Bowl.
