Baltimore Ravens Spread Holiday Cheer

With the holidays quickly approaching, the Ravens have been busy spreading some cheer and joy to the Baltimore community.

Cornerbacks Chris Carr and Cary Williams joined Ravens cheerleaders and mascot Poe at Union Memorial Hospital, Linebacker Ray Lewis provided a unique shopping experience for 200 local underserved youth at his annual Holiday Gift Marketplace, and Defensive End Cory Redding hosted a reward luncheon for students of Garrison Middle School who successfully completed the incentive-based program he implemented at the beginning of the school year.

The Baltimore Ravens joined Living Classrooms Foundation, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, the city of Baltimore and the NFL/Local Initiatives Support Coalition (LISC) Grassroots Program in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the new field.

The newly renovated City Springs Football Field features a regulation-size football field that will be used for physical education activities during the school day and will provide youth with safe and supervised recreation during the critical after-school hours.

For many, Thanksgiving is a time for family, food and annual traditions. For linebacker Ray Lewis, Thanksgiving is about giving back and sharing his traditions with families in need.

For the 12th consecutive year, Lewis hosted his annual Thanksgiving distribution at WEB DuBois High School for 800 underserved families.
