Keaton Mitchell is reportedly heading to the West Coast.
Mitchell is signing a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers worth $9.25 million, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
The Ravens reportedly declined to offer Mitchell a restricted free agent tender, allowing Mitchell to hit the open market. A right of first refusal tender would have cost $3.52 million for one year. The Ravens could have matched any other team's offer sheet.
Mitchell was a key contributor for the Ravens last year. He had 341 rushing yards and one touchdown on 59 carries in 13 games after being a healthy scratch in the early part of the season.
An undrafted rookie, the explosive Mitchell averaged 8.4 yards per carry in 2023 to lead all NFL running backs. However, a late-season knee injury derailed his momentum and cost him the end of his rookie year and the majority of the 2024 season.
Mitchell would join tight end Charlie Kolar in Los Angeles after Kolar agreed to sign a three-year deal with the Chargers earlier this week.
The Ravens still have Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, and Rasheen Ali under contract in their running back room.
