QB Tua Tagovailoa
On the fourth-and-1 at the Ravens' 12-yard line in the first quarter, where Miami was called for the false start: "I would say with the Ravens fans, it maybe got a little muffled with my cadence and the crowd noise, so we kind of talked about that on the sideline after and got that corrected."
On having 235 yards in the first half but only scoring six points: "Yeah, I would say it's frustrating offensively and all the guys felt that same way. It's frustrating because we knew we were a little off here, a little off there, and we had some mistakes, we had some penalties, some crucial ones at that, and we just weren't able to capitalize. So we felt we were moving the ball pretty well in the first half, we just weren't showing anything for it, really."
Head Coach Mike McDaniel
On what happened to the Dolphins' run defense in the second half: "Again, it's hard to perform to that high standard and then have to have defensive series so close together, meaning they did a great job, we're trying to do it for four quarters, they got a couple of their wins and then we didn't possess the ball and give the defense rest to have that same type of performance they had in the first half. So we changed the formula on them. They got a little window into having some success. They leaned on us and it was unfortunate. I think the good news is our defense has an expectation to stop the run regardless and have shown the capability to do so, but at the same time, I think you're playing with fire when you're giving the ball back to that offense, whose made their living running the ball. It was something we were trying to avoid at all costs – short drives – and unfortunately, we had a couple that were very short."
LB Jordyn Brooks
On Lamar Jackson's four touchdown passes and Derrick Henry's performance: "I mean, I thought they had a decent game, but a lot of that came towards the end of the game. The game was out of reach. A lot of garbage time, to be honest with you. I felt like we played well defensively in the first half, but like I said, turnovers, that kills you. Not capitalizing, not scoring when we could, giving him the ball back, giving him an extra set of downs. Players like that, they're going to find a way to get in the end zone, so we got to capitalize when we got the chance to and play complementary football."
On whether he thought the Dolphins were outplaying the Ravens when they were down 14-6: "Absolutely. That was the mindset coming into halftime. Even though the score was what it was, I felt like we were playing well enough to win the game, but at the end of the day, it's always going to come down to turnovers. Giving them the ball when they shouldn't have it, not scoring when we should. It changes the game, it changes the momentum, it changes the spirit, everything. Until we learn how to not beat ourselves, we won't win a football game."
LB Bradley Chubb
On whether the defense was doing as well as possible against an offense like the Ravens: "Like I said, man, we were playing together, playing with energy, playing fast. We just didn't make enough plays to counteract the plays that came out in the second half when we've got to get the ball back. We've got to get the ball out. They got two on us, so we've got to even the score or up the score at the end of the day. I felt like we played with energy, man, we just got to carry that over, keep guys encouraged. The season is not over, far from it, and just keep on pushing."
