The Ravens have the weekend off after defeating the Dolphins, 28-6, on "Thursday Night Football." That means time for fans to watch the rest of the games across the league, many of which could help the Ravens' standing in the AFC playoff picture.
After a tough start to the season, the Ravens (3-5) could finish the day in second place in the AFC North and just a game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Here's who to root for in Week 9:
Indianapolis Colts (7-1) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3)
1 p.m., CBS
The Colts have been this year's juggernaut with a point differential of +116, 33 more points than the team with the second-highest point differential, the Chiefs. Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor, who already has 850 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, have arguably been the best one-two punch at quarterback and running back. The Steelers will try to bounce back from back-to-back losses.
Root for: Colts
Chicago Bears (4-3) @ Cincinnati Bengals (3-5)
1 p.m., CBS
After falling to the Ravens last week, Chicago looks to get back in the win column against the Bengals. The Bears will be without starting running back D'Andre Swift and wide receiver Luther Burden III. Joe Flacco is dealing with a shoulder injury in his throwing arm but is still going to suit up for Cincinnati, which is trying to rebound from a one-point loss to the Jets.
Root for: Bears
Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) @ Tennessee Titans (1-7)
1 p.m., CBS
Led by No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward, the Titans have already fired their head coach and are on a three-game skid. The Chargers are coming off a blowout victory over the Vikings and have had extra time to get healthy. Justin Herbert is making his case for MVP consideration with a league-high 2,140 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. The Broncos, Chiefs, and Chargers could all make the playoffs come January. An upset win for the Titans would help Baltimore's chances if it later needs to secure a Wild-Card spot to make the postseason.
Root for: Titans
Atlanta Falcons (3-4) @ New England Patriots (6-2)
1 p.m., CBS
Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and wide receiver Drake London are both set to return to the lineup for the Falcons after missing last week with injuries. The Patriots are one of the league's hottest teams, winning their last five games. Drake Maye has had tremendous success in his second season at the helm, completing 75.2% of his passes and leading New England to sole possession of first place in the AFC East standings.
Root for: Falcons
Denver Broncos (6-2) @ Houston Texans (3-4)
1 p.m., FOX
Bo Nix and the Broncos have won five straight and have scored 77 points over the last two weeks. Denver will be without reining Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain II, who is out with a pectoral injury. The Texans are trying to pick up their fourth win in five weeks and remain afloat in a tough AFC South.
Root for: Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3) @ Las Vegas Raiders (2-5)
4:05 p.m., FOX
The Jaguars are coming out of their bye week without two-way star Travis Hunter, who was put on injured reserve Friday with a knee injury. The Raiders were also just on their bye week after being shut out, 31-0, against the Chiefs in Week 7.
Root for: Raiders
Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) @ Buffalo Bills (5-2)
4:25 p.m., CBS
The best game on the schedule features two conference leaders, two of the best quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, and a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game. The Bills have won the past three regular-season meetings, but the Chiefs have won the past two postseason matchups. Both teams have beaten the Ravens this season, making it a tougher climb for Baltimore to surpass them in the standings, but not impossible.
