Who Ravens Fans Should Root for in Week 14

Root

The Ravens have a pivotal rivalry matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, with the winner claiming first place in the AFC North.

As the last five weeks of the regular season begin to play out, Baltimore has found itself in the thick of the playoff race, hoping to make it back to the dance for the fourth straight season. The Ravens still control their own destiny, but a little help from other teams could help them down the line.

Here's who to root for in Week 14:

Cincinnati Bengals (4-8) @ Buffalo Bills (8-4)

1 p.m., FOX

After defeating the Ravens on Thanksgiving, the Bengals remain alive in their attempt to win the AFC North. With Joe Burrow back in the lineup, Cincinnati found life and can build on its momentum with a tough road win against Josh Allen and the Bills. Buffalo is trying to keep pace with the New England Patriots, who have a two-game lead on them in the AFC East. The Bills are coming off a 19-point win over the Steelers, gashing Pittsburgh for 249 rushing yards.

Indianapolis Colts (8-4) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4)

1 p.m., CBS

Whichever team comes out on top in this matchup will own sole possession of first place in the AFC South. The Colts have lost their last two games after starting 8-2. Daniel Jones looked less mobile in last week's loss to the Texans, as he continues to play through a fracture in his fibula. The Jaguars are on the opposite trajectory, winning three straight and outscoring opponents 87-33 over that stretch.

Denver Broncos (10-2) @ Las Vegas Raiders (2-10)

4:05 p.m., CBS

The Broncos are coming off a thrilling overtime win over the Commanders and haven't lost since Week 3. Meanwhile, the Raiders are one of two AFC teams to already be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. The Broncos would have to undergo a complete collapse down the stretch for Baltimore to surpass them in the AFC standings. But crazier things have happened.

Houston Texans (7-5) @ Kansas City Chiefs (6-6)

8:20 p.m., NBC

The Texans are one of the hottest teams in the league, winning four straight and five out of their last six. Led by a stout defense giving up a league-low 266 yards per game, Houston has found itself within one game of the AFC South lead after an 0-3 start to the year. Kansas City is fighting to make the playoffs and is unlikely to win its division for the first time since 2015. Both teams hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Ravens. Baltimore's path to the playoffs almost certainly lies in winning the division, so without knowing how the rest of the Wild-Card race plays out, it's tough to predict which team the Ravens would need to win on "Sunday Night Football."

Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) @ Los Angeles Chargers (8-4)

8:15 p.m. (Monday), ESPN

Even after losing their last two games, the Eagles still have a two-game lead over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. The Chargers continue to fight for the division crown despite dealing with a plethora of injuries this season. Los Angeles believes quarterback Justin Herbert will be able to play after undergoing surgery on his non-throwing hand earlier in the week.
