The Ravens shook up their offensive line Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, giving rookie Emery Jones Jr. a look in his first NFL game action.

Jones rotated with Andrew Vorhees, who had started the previous 11 games, at left guard. Jones played 16 snaps (27%) while Vorhees played 44 (73%).

Pro Football Focus (PFF) gave Jones a 47.9 grade, with better marks in pass protection (67.6) than run blocking (45.6). Jones was flagged for a holding penalty on one run.

"I think I had a good night," Jones said after the Ravens' 32-14 loss. "I had one holding call that I wish I could get back, but other than that, I felt like I played pretty decently.

"It felt really good to get out there with the guys and show what I can do, display my talent a little bit [and] show that I can help the team a little bit."

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley said he thought Jones "played great" besides the penalty.

"The effort he gave, he showed that he can play this league," Stanley said.

Here are more takeaways from the Ravens' PFF grades and snap counts:

  • Defensive tackle Travis Jones had the team's highest grade and the best mark of his four-year career (90.8). Jones made six tackles and forced and recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter. He also had one quarterback hit.
  • With Justice Hill (neck) placed on injured reserve, Rasheen Ali played the most offensive snaps of the Ravens' three running backs. Ali had 29 snaps (48%) while Derrick Henry had 24, and Keaton Mitchell had eight. More than half of Ali's snaps (15) came in the fourth quarter when the Ravens were trying to claw back from a big deficit.
  • With three turnovers and several missed throws, Lamar Jackson posted his lowest PFF grade (42.2) since Week 12 of the 2021 season against the Cleveland Browns.
  • Outside linebacker Carl Lawson played 26 snaps (31%) in his first action of the season. He registered one tackle. Rookie defensive tackle Aeneas Peebles played four snaps.
  • Kyle Hamilton played all 83 defensive snaps despite suffering an ankle injury last week. Marlon Humphrey also played all 83 defensive snaps after Nate Wiggins exited the game with a foot injury at halftime.
  • Right guard Daniel Faalele posted his highest run blocking grade (75) of the season and has had back-to-back strong games.
