Do-it-All Kyle Hamilton Has Historic Stat Line vs. Browns

The Ravens made Kyle Hamilton the highest-paid safety in the NFL this offseason and he's playing like it.

Hamilton logged a historic stat line in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Cleveland Browns. He became the only defensive back to record nine tackles, including one sack, three tackles for loss, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble.

Hamilton is lining up everywhere and doing everything, and he had the Ravens' highest Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of the game at 91.6.

Hamilton is now PFF's highest-graded safety in the NFL among those who have played at least 50% of their team's defensive snaps. He's considerably ahead of the No. 2 safety, Denver's Talanoa Hufanga (83.2).

Hamilton used an impressive spin move to sack Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders to end the first drive of his career – then hit Sanders' trademark celebration.

Hamilton would have had an even better evening had he hung onto an interception in the second half.

"I can't seem to catch a pick in Cleveland, for some reason," Hamilton joked.

Here are other notes from the Ravens' PFF grades and snap counts:

  • Mark Andrews scored the game-winning 35-yard touchdown on a fourth-and-1 fake "tush push" and reached the top speed of his career (20.09 mph) on the play. His 78.1 grade was the third-highest on the Ravens offense. Charlie Kolar, who threw a key block on that play and Derrick Henry's long run, got the top grade at 78.8.
  • Chidobe Awuzie continues to play at a high level after being signed this offseason. With Marlon Humphrey (finger) sidelined, Awuzie's 86.2 grade was his highest of the season, and he was credited with surrendering just three catches for 39 yards on seven targets. Awuzie ripped the ball away from Browns receiver Gage Larvadain in the end zone in the final minutes to preserve the Ravens' win.
  • With Rashod Bateman sidelined, DeAndre Hopkins played a season-high 42 snaps (69%). His 11-yard catch in the fourth quarter helped set up Andrews' game-winning 35-yard touchdown rumble.
  • Keaton Mitchell (16 snaps) and Rasheen Ali (12 snaps) shared the workload with Justice Hill sidelined by a toe injury. Mitchell had six carries for 31 yards and Ali had a 15-yard catch and run to extend the Ravens' first offensive drive.
  • Henry, who ripped off a 59-yard run that was his longest of the season so far, had the Ravens' second-highest offensive grade (78.4).
  • The Ravens defense had some missed tackles on the Browns' first drive, but they stuffed the running game from that point on. Veteran John Jenkins (four tackles) posted his highest PFF grade of the season (91.4).
  • Undrafted rookie Keyon Martin stepped in to play one-third of the Ravens' defensive snaps and logged his first career sack. He also had one pass defensed and a strong 68.4 PFF grade.
  • Defensive tackle Travis Jones played a season-high 78.2% of the Ravens' defensive snaps.
