Half-Time Quotes: Preseason at Rams

**

Head Coach John Harbaugh

General:"We're concerned about a lot of things. It's the preseason, and we're trying to get better. We all have to get better. We were OK on special teams in the first half, but we can be better there, too."

On rookie QB Joe Flacco: "Joe [Flacco] did OK in there, without much preparation this week. He was a little amped up and threw some high balls because of that. He'll settle down as he plays more."

Defensive Coordinator Rex Ryan

On the defense's performance:"We don't care who is out there; we have to play like Ravens. We need to play faster and more physical. We let them stay on the field forever in the first half. That's not acceptable in the preseason, not acceptable ever."

Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron

On the offensive production:"We have to score touchdowns when we get the chance, and we had one after the blocked punt. That was a great opportunity and we didn't get in. Field goals are not a bad thing, but touchdowns are the goal. We didn't get many opportunities in the first half, and that's our fault. We have to keep the ball, convert third downs. We weren't good enough in the first half."

CB Samari Rolle

On playing for the first time this season: "It felt different, but it was a good different. The last time I played was against New England last year [Dec.3]. It's been awhile, so it felt really good to be back out here with my teammates."

On how he feels the first-team defense played: "It really wasn't the first-team defense. We have a lot of people out, but that's still no excuse. We can definitely be better. We didn't get off the field on third down as much as we should have. We missed some tackles – I did, definitely. But this is the preseason. We have to fine tune our game and get better."

LB Terrell Suggs

On playing for the first time this season: "It felt really good to run around with my boys and play football. I don't know how many plays I had, but I don't think I played too badly. I'm still a little rusty and I have to knock the dust off. But hopefully, by Sept. 7, all the rust will be gone."

On if he's in good shape: "Definitely. I didn't get tired, and this is the first time in a long time that I didn't get tired playing football."

On how he feels the first-team defense played: "It was sub-par. We had a lot of starters out – a lot of key starters. There were a lot of pieces missing. But, that gives other guys a chance to step up. We have a lot of young guys on this team that may play this season, so it's always beneficial for them to get that experience. It wasn't a performance that we are used to on the Ravens' defensive side of the ball. But, it's the preseason and we have to continue to get better as the weeks progress. We'll keep working on it."
