As Ravens training camp approaches, we'll look at six of the top position group competitions: wide receiver, offensive line, outside linebacker, cornerback, safety, and kicker.
In the Hunt
- Mike Green
- Malik Hamm
- Adisa Isaac
- David Ojabo
- Odafe Oweh
- Tavius Robinson
- Kyle Van Noy
- Diwun Black (undrafted rookie)
- Kaimon Rucker (undrafted rookie)
Projected Starters
The Ravens are returning two pass rushers who reached double digits in sacks last season, Van Noy (career-high 12.5 sacks) and Oweh (10.0). The 34-year-old Van Noy continues to fend off Father Time with his smarts, athleticism, and effort. Oweh added 20 pounds of muscle during the offseason and is still an ascending player at age 25. Oweh and Van Noy are entering the final year of their contracts, giving them a major incentive to remain an elite pass-rushing tandem. Green was a second-round pick with first-round talent and could be an impact rookie.
Best Battle
Isaac and Ojabo are two talented young players battling for a larger role, and it's not a certainty that both will make the 53-man roster. The Ravens may keep six outside linebackers if Ojabo flashes during preseason and training camp. Isaac's rookie season was limited to four games due to injuries, and the third-round pick also needs to take a step forward in Year 2.
Under the Radar
Robinson hasn't missed a game or practice in two seasons with the Ravens and is a favorite among the coaching staff due to his toughness and competitive nature. With 32 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 12 quarterback hits in 2024, Robinson is still fine-tuning his pass rushing technique under Pass Rush Coach Chuck Smith's tutelage. A breakout season from Robinson would make the Ravens' pass rush even more lethal.
