The Ravens finished an undefeated preseason with a 30-3 win over the Washington Commanders. Here's who stood out:
ILB Trenton Simpson
Simpson was the Ravens' only starter to play in the preseason finale and he finished on a high note. Simpson had a deflected pass that resulted in an interception, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and six tackles in the first half. After a good training camp in which he re-claimed his spot next to Roquan Smith, Simpson built momentum heading into the regular season. Head Coach John Harbaugh said Simpson took a "big step" this offseason.
CB Keyon Martin
Martin made the loudest statement of any bubble player with a pick-six in the first half. The undrafted rookie free agent from Louisianna-Lafayette also had a tackle for loss. After the season-ending injuries to sixth-round rookies Bilhal Kone and Robert Longerbeam, Martin would help provide more depth, particularly at nickel.
K Tyler Loop
Loop has his first perfect game, connecting on all three of his attempts from 46, 52, and 61 yards. He finished the preseason 9-of-11 and enters the regular season with a wave of confidence. Loop's only miscue was a kickoff out of bounds as he and the Ravens continue to experiment.
RB Rasheen Ali
The Ravens' ground game dominated early in the game and Ali continued his strong preseason play with nine carries for 36 yards. His longest was a 12-yarder when he showed good backside vision. Ali also made five receptions, including a nifty one-handed catch to convert a first down. Has he done enough to convince the Ravens to keep four running backs?
QB Cooper Rush
Rush finished the preseason well, going 5-of-9 for 59 yards. After a tough opener, Rush had back-to-back strong performances.
CB Thomas Graham Jr.
Signed this week, Graham had an interception in the end zone versus former Ravens backup quarterback Josh Johnson.
QB Devin Leary
Leary had a difficult start to the preseason but finished more efficient. He completed 17 of 23 passes for 71 yards. In three preseason games, Leary threw for 167 yards, but he completed more passes and didn't turn the ball over either of the last two games.
