The Ravens' first depth chart of the 2025 season has been released.
As a reminder, this is compiled by the team's public relations staff.
Here are some takeaways from the initial version:
- Andrew Vorhees is listed as the starting left guard, ahead of Ben Cleveland. Head Coach John Harbaugh said Saturday that Vorhees has been more consistent in practice. "Andrew Vorhees is in the lead. Something would have to change," Harbaugh said.
- Broderick Washington Jr. has stepped into a starting position at defensive end. After Michael Pierce's retirement, Travis Jones is now the starting nose tackle, and Washington fills Jones' spot at defensive end. John Jenkins is the backup nose tackle and Brent Urban is the backup defensive end.
- Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins are the starting cornerbacks with Jaire Alexander and Chidobe Awuzie on the second team. In actuality, three cornerbacks will often be "starting" and all four will see significant action.
- Sanoussi Kane is the backup to Kyle Hamilton at strong safety and Beau Brade is the backup for free safety Malaki Starks.
- Tylan Wallace is on the second team listed as Zay Flowers' top backup. Devontez Walker is on the third team behind Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins.
- With the release of John Hoyland, rookie Tyler Loop is the Ravens' only kicker. "He's kicking well enough to win the job," Harbaugh said.
- Trenton Simpson is not surprisingly listed as the starter at weakside inside linebacker. Veteran free-agent addition Jake Hummel is listed as his top backup, followed by rookie Teddye Buchanan. Rookies are almost always listed lower on the initial depth chart.
- Joseph Noteboom is the top backup left tackle and rookie Carson Vinson is listed as Roger Rosengarten's backup at right tackle.
