Rashod Bateman Inactive vs. Bengals

Wide receiver Rashod Bateman (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's pivotal AFC North game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bateman was a limited participant in Thursday's practice and did not practice Friday. He missed two games in November after suffering an ankle sprain that Head Coach John Harbaugh said has been nagging Bateman.

"You fight through it, you fight through it, and you can annoy it, I guess is the best way to say it," Harbaugh said.

In 11 games this season, Bateman has 18 receptions for 217 yards and two touchdowns.

With Bateman sidelined, DeAndre Hopkins and Devontez Walker could see increased roles, joining Zay Flowers and Tylan Wallace in Baltimore's wide receiver rotation. Harbaugh said Monday that he wanted more opportunities for Hopkins after he had zero catches and one target in last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to Bateman, defensive back Keyon Martin, offensive lineman Joseph Noteboom, and defensive tackle Aeneas Peebles are inactive for the Ravens. Cooper Rush is the emergency No. 3 quarterback.

Outside linebacker Tavius Robinson and safety Ar’Darius Washington were activated to Baltimore's 53-man roster on Saturday. Robinson has missed the past seven games due to a foot injury and Washington is set to make his season debut after suffering an Achilles injury in May.

For the Bengals, first-round rookie pass rusher Shemar Stewart (knee) was not elevated to the active roster on Saturday and is out. The Bengals will also be missing their No. 2 wide receiver, with Tee Higgins (concussion) ruled out on Friday. Higgins had 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns last week against the Buffalo Bills, but didn't play against Baltimore on Thanksgiving due to a concussion.

Also inactive for Cincinnati are backup safety PJ Jules (ankle) and defensive tackle Jordan Jefferson, while Jake Browning is the emergency No. 3 quarterback. Star defensive end Trey Hendrickson is out for the season.
