The Caw: Ravens Rookie Chris Wormley Has 'Big Worm' Tattooed Inside His Bottom Lip

Chris Wormley doesn't seem like a tattoo guy. Then he flips his bottom lip down and … oh.

The Ravens' third-round defensive end has his nickname, "Big Worm," tattooed inside his bottom lip.

Wormley was a fifth-year senior at Michigan and a team leader. In his first few days in Baltimore, he seems to be a very mature rookie. One reporter even asked him if he has coaching aspirations after his playing career is over – when his career was just two days old.

The nickname makes sense. Wormley stands in at 6-foot-5, 300 pounds with some of the longest arms and largest hands among this year's defensive line prospects. He also wears a size 18 shoe. The last name "Wormley" is begging to be shortened to "Worm."

The decision to have it tattooed on his inner lip, however, is what's baffling me.

Apparently, it's a trendy thing the kids do these days. Wormley isn't the only 2017 prospect with an inner lip tattoo. North Carolina wide receiver Ryan Switzer, who was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round, has one that says, “Believe.”

"I told my mom and she said, 'Were you drunk?'" Wormley said. "I said, 'No, it was like 4 o'clock on a Tuesday.'"

Well, that's good to know. But how much did it hurt? That's gotta hurt really bad.

"It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," he said.

So Wormley went in thinking it was going to hurt a lot, and still went through with it for a tattoo that may only last one to five years. Yup.

Here's another Wormley factoid. He dreams of one day being a stay-at-home dad.

This dude has a lot of layers.

It's easy to forget that Wormley's just 23 years old. That means he hadn't been born when the movie "Tremors" came out in 1990, but I think he should be a big fan.
