Haloti Ngata Active vs. Browns

Haloti Ngata is active for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.

The three-time Pro Bowler was questionable on the final injury report after not practicing on Thursday and Friday because of a shoulder injury. Ngata has also been nursing a knee problem that limited his production in the last two games against the Cowboys and Texans.

Having Ngata in the lineup is critical for the Ravens defense, which is focused first on stopping running back Trent Richardson, who is coming off a 122-yard performance last week against the Chargers. It's unknown how much Ngata will be able to play, as he played just 48 of the 80 snaps against Houston.

In addition to Ngata, the Ravens will also get starting nose tackle Ma'ake Kemoeatu back in the lineup. The veteran missed the Texans' game with a knee injury, but was a full participant in practice throughout the week and is expected to rotate with Terrence Cody in middle of the defensive line.

Starting defensive end Pernell McPhee, however, is out for Sunday's game with a thigh injury.

The other inactives for the Ravens are cornerback Asa Jackson, running back Bobby Rainey, offensive lineman Ramon Harewood, wide receiver Deonte Thompson, tight end Billy Bajema, and defensive tackle Bryan Hall.

Second-year offensive lineman Jah Reid is active for the first time this season, and he could potentially rotate with veteran Bobbie Williams at left guard. Reid is finally healthy after dealing with a calf injury that has lingered since training camp.

For the Browns, nose tackle Phil Taylor is active for the first time this season. Last year's first-round pick spent the first eight weeks of the season on the physically unable to perform list with a pectoral injury, but getting him back in the lineup should give the Browns run defense a boost.

Starting linebacker D'Qwell Jackson is also active after being questionable with a foot injury.

The inactives for Cleveland are cornerback Dimitri Patterson, running back Brandon Jackson, fullback Owen Marecic, defensive back Tashaun Gipson, defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin, offensive lineman Jarrod Shaw and wide receiver Josh Cooper.
