Lamar Jackson is back in the building.

The two-time MVP quarterback was among the Ravens who arrived at the Under Armour Performance Center on Monday morning for Day 1 of the voluntary offseason program.

Participation is voluntary, but Jackson's presence is always welcomed, particularly in his first offseason under new Head Coach Jesse Minter and new Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle.

Jackson spent his first eight seasons under former head coach John Harbaugh, and Doyle will be a first-time offensive play-caller working with Jackson. Minter has been in communication with Jackson and assured reporters at the NFL owners meeting last week that Jackson is eager to work with the new coaching staff.

"I just think that he's excited for us to connect, for us to build a relationship, for us to trust each other, for us to be able to talk through things," Minter said.

"You don't become the level of player that he has without a great work ethic, without being a great teammate, and without being a leader. I am just excited for him to continue to grow, evolve, and become an even better version of Lamar."

Newly acquired pass rusher Trey Hendrickson and running back Derrick Henry were also among the players who arrived Monday morning.

Monday began Phase 1 of the program, a two-week phase with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation.

Phase 2 lasts for three weeks and consists of on-field workouts that may include individual or group instruction and drills.

Phase 3 last four weeks, where teams may conduct a total of 10 days of OTAs. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.
