Ravens Provide Youth Football Grants To 13 Local Programs

The Ravens Foundation, Inc. has awarded youth football grants to 13 nonprofit programs in the state of Maryland. In their commitment to enhance the quality of youth football, the Baltimore Ravens alongside Under Armour, will provide grants for new football equipment and apparel to 25 teams that demonstrate outstanding programs and have a positive impact on their respective communities.

Now in its fourth year, the grant serves as a pipeline between the Ravens and youth football teams to promote, improve and facilitate the healthy development of children in the community. Each recipient will utilize its grant to purchase Under Armour packages that may include jerseys, cleats, socks, footballs, gloves and mouth guards.

On an annual basis, the Ravens contribute more than 800 cleats to area football programs, donate weight-training equipment, host clinics for youth football coaches and recognize area high school coaches through the Ravens Coach of the Week program. The team also hosts various tournaments and clinics, presented by Under Armour. Most recently, these have included the Ravens 7-on-7 High School Football Tournament and the Ravens Football Clinic for local youth.
