Webb, Ngata, D. Smith Sit

The Ravens were without three key defensive starters when they took the field Wednesday to start preparations for the Chicago Bears.

Defensive lineman Haloti Ngata (knee), linebacker Daryl Smith (thigh) and cornerback Ladarius Webb (groin) all did not practice Wednesday.

Ngata and Smith both came out of Sunday's game against the Bengals because of injury. Ngata left the game with the trainers by his side and went into the locker room to get examined. He was ultimately able to return and finish the game.

Smith, who was listed on the injury report last week, also came over to the sideline limping late in the second half.

While they sat out practice, Head Coach John Harbaugh indicated that their injuries are not long-term concerns.

"We didn't have anything that looks to be major injury-wise," Harbaugh said Monday.

Smith, Ihedigbo Limited

The Ravens also had two starters in the secondary – cornerback Jimmy Smith (groin) and safety James Ihedigbo (toe) – limited during practice.

Smith and Ihedigbo both dealt [add] with the injuries leading up to the game against Cincinnati, but were still able to play the entire game.

Ihedigbo notched two interceptions and had a key fourth-quarter stop in the win, and Smith played tight coverage on receiver A.J. Green throughout the game.

The only other injuries listed for the Ravens were running back Bernard Pierce (toe/knee) and wide receiver Brandon Stokley (thigh). Both of them were full participants.

Pierce has dealt with injuries throughout the season, but has not missed a game. Stokley has been battling his thigh injury for several weeks and has not played since Sept. 22 against the Texans.

Cutler, Briggs Ruled Out

As expected, the Bears have officially ruled out starting quarterback Jay Cutler because of a high ankle sprain. With Cutler out, veteran Josh McCown will start in his place.

The Bears also ruled out veteran linebacker Lance Briggs because of a shoulder injury.

The other injury concerns for the Bears are defensive linemen Shea McClellin (hamstring) and Jeremiah Ratliff (groin), and long snapper Patrick Mannelly (calf).
