Lamar Jackson was not on the field at the start of Friday's practice and has not practiced this week, as the Ravens get set to take on the Atlanta Falcons Sunday night.
Jackson is trying to work his way back from an ankle injury that sidelined him for the second half of last week's game against the Tennessee Titans.
Head Coach Jesse Minter said Wednesday that Jackson wouldn't need to practice to play.
"[There are] calibers of players with enough experience to be able to play without a week of practice," Minter said. "I think he is in that category."
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey (hamstring/calf) did return to practice Friday, a good sign that he has a chance to play in Atlanta. Outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson (finger) is still not practicing.
New center Cam Jurgens (concussion protocol) won't make his debut until next week. Defensive lineman Calais Campbell, who got a rest day earlier this week, was the only other player not at the early portion of practice.
