Press Release - Thursday Parking Notification

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that high volumes of traffic are expected downtown for the Baltimore Ravens pre-season home opening game against the Carolina Panthers which will be held at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday, August 12, 2010 beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Motorists should be advised that all parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium will be strictly enforced. Patrons attending the game who do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots arestrongly **encouraged to use public transportation including mass transit, light rail or the Charm City Circulator.

Patrons choosing to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods. Parking Control Agents will enforce all posted parking restrictions in the vicinity of the stadium and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed. Citizens with questions concerning the location of their vehicle should call 311.

Motorists driving to the event from the west should be reminded that double lane closures are now in effect along Pratt Street between Paca and Howard Streets. These lane closures may cause delays and patrons are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes. The Department of Transportation's Special Traffic Enforcement Officers (STEO's) will assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.
