The Ravens get their seventh-round draft pick back.
Baltimore traded tackle Bryant McKinnie to the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 21 last season. At the time, it was reported that the Ravens would get a late-round conditional pick. The conditions were based on how much McKinnie played.
McKinnie started 10 games in Miami, which means the Dolphins will be sending their seventh-round selection to Baltimore, according to NFL.com
The Ravens traded their original seventh-round pick to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for center/guard A.Q. Shipley. That was also a conditional trade based on whether Shipley made the roster, which he did.
While a seventh-round pick doesn't seem too alluring, there's always a chance that player becomes a star. The MVP of Super Bowl XLVIII, Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith, was a 2011 seventh-round pick.
The Ravens don't have any such stories, but have made some solid picks, including defensive end DeAngelo Tyson in 2012 and running back Anthony Allen in 2011.
For now, Baltimore has five draft picks (first, second, third, sixth, seventh) entering this year's NFL Draft. The Ravens traded their fourth and fifth-round picks to the Jacksonville Jaguars for Eugene Monroe last season.
The Ravens will get more when compensatory picks are announced next week at the NFL Owners Meetings.
