The Ravens have signed veteran offensive tackle Andre Smith to the 53-man roster to replace backup offensive lineman Parker Ehinger (shoulder), who has been placed on injured reserve.

The 32-year-old Smith has spent most of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals after being the sixth-overall pick in the 2009 draft. He also played for the Minnesota Vikings (2016) and Arizona Cardinals (2017).

Smith started the first five games of this season at left tackle for the Bengals before being waived on Nov. 30. Smith has played 116 NFL games and has started 98, giving the Ravens added experience should he be needed during the playoffs.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 325 pounds, Smith was regarded as the country's top offensive lineman when he left Alabama, and physical run-blocking has always been his forte.

Ehinger was signed to the Ravens' practice squad in September and was promoted to the 53-man roster on Nov. 30. He appeared in two games this season, seeing his most extensive action in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers when he played 46 snaps.
