Week 10 vs. Cincinnati: Friday Transcript

Head Coach John Harbaugh

Opening statement:"It's good to see everybody. Thanks for coming. Obviously, we've got some very special guests [children from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's OrchKids program] here, and we're going to talk about that in a minute. [Watching them perform] was really a lot of fun. We had a really good practice. I think we got a little taste of the weather for the rest of the year. I didn't see too many of you guys out there for very long. (laughter) It's not unexpected that you guys would've disappeared when the wind started blowing." (laughter)

**How encouraging is Daryl Smith and Jimmy Smith coming back to practice after a few days off? *(Aaron Wilson) *"During the season, these are the things that happen during the season, and you're always dealing with something. They were back today practicing."

**With Jimmy Smith and Corey Graham both on the injury report this week, how did Asa Jackson look after such a long layoff? *(Luke Jones) *"It's two separate things. It's not really tied together. Asa [Jackson] looked good. It looked like he was in shape. Like always, [he was] working the little nuances of the game and stuff like that. After a few weeks off, those are things [you evaluate] in terms of knocking the rust off. But I thought he was surprisingly sharp, and he looked good."

Is there a possibility that Asa Jackson could be activated this week? (Jamison Hensley) *"We have a roster spot. As far as the 46-man [roster] or the 53-man [roster]?" *(Reporter: "Either one.") "There's a possibility for either one of those. We'll just have to see how it goes. And obviously, we wouldn't tip our hand anyway. But we have a roster spot, obviously, available. That would be the logical move." **

Has Kelechi Osemele gone on the IR yet? (Aaron Wilson) *"We already have the roster spot, yes." *

**After a couple losses, [you're] getting back in front of the home crowd, and I know you like the fans behind you during the game. Getting back in front of them has to feel pretty good. *(Bill West) *"It's great to play at home. You get to play eight of them there, and we have a few of those left. This will be our opportunity to play Cincinnati at home. We'll go there later in the year. This will be our opportunity to perhaps go a long way toward making the second one meaningful, and that's what we need to do."
