Kyle Brandt Predicts Trey Henderson Will Lead the League in Sacks

One of the decorated veterans in attendance on Day 1 of the Ravens' offseason workout program Monday morning was All-Pro pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.

“Good Morning Football’s” Kyle Brandt was so impressed by a brief clip of Hendrickson working out that he believes the former Cincinnati Bengals star will lead the league in sacks this season.

Part of the reason for Brandt's prediction is that he thinks Hendrickson, who had an NFL-best 17.5 sacks in 2024, will be highly motivated in the Ravens' two meetings with the Bengals in 2026. He jokingly said that Hendrickson will get 10 sacks in each of those games.

"That's 20. That probably leads the league," Brandt said. "Do you know how excited Trey probably is to get out of Cincinnati? I don't want to just pick away at the Bengals, [but] it was a long road for him there. It was a lot of frustration, it was a lot of production, and there was never that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And of all teams, the division rival comes and says, 'Trey, we want you.'

"The answer is yes, he leads the league in sacks. And it's a great story."

Pundits Move Goal Posts Again on Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson being subjected to hot takes and moving goal posts is nothing new. The two-time MVP quarterback's arrival for Day 1 of the Ravens' offseason workout program Monday morning is the latest example.

While the majority of pundits praised Jackson for attending the voluntary workout, there were some notable exceptions.

FOX Sports 1 analyst and former NFL head coach Eric Mangini actually criticized Jackson for showing up.

"I don't like it. I really don't like it," Mangini said on "First Things First." "I just think, OK, what was wrong with the last X amount of years?"

Wow. Talk about damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Over on ESPN's "NFL Live," Dan Orlovsky assumed Jackson would be a no-show when discussing the subject.

"I'm not going to overreact to him not being there. Maybe he gets there in the next day or two, but it certainly sounds like that's not going to be the case," Orlovsky said. " … I would absolutely want Lamar there."

Shortly thereafter, a clip of Jackson reporting to the Under Armour Performance Center was shared by the Ravens on social media. Orlovsky subsequently praised Jackson for being there.

Pundits Make Cases for Ravens to Trade for A.J. Brown, Dexter Lawrence

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown and New York Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence are both subjects of trade speculation, and the Ravens continue to be named among the potential landing spots for both star players.

NFL.com’s Matt Okada proposed the Ravens send their first- and third-round picks to the Eagles for Brown.

"Daniel Jeremiah recently mocked Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson to the Ravens at No. 14 overall, but what if GM Eric DeCosta could land an already proven No. 1 with that same pick?" Okada wrote. "Brown would be the best receiver Jackson has played with to date and upgrade the role played by DJ Moore in [new Offensive Coordinator] Declan Doyle's offense in Chicago."

NFL.com’s Kevin Patra made a case for the Ravens to pursue Lawrence, who has reportedly requested a trade.

"Trading for Lawrence would give them another pass-rush force to play with under new HC Jesse Minter," Patra wrote. "After Baltimore struggled to get after the quarterback, a duo of Hendrickson and Lawrence would make the Ravens' front exponentially more menacing. Lawrence's ability to get into the backfield would also allow Minter to get pressure without sending extra rushers.

"Baltimore has a trove of draft picks (11) to toss at the Giants, and has the salary-cap space to make the trade work. The uncertain future of Nnamdi Madubuike could also incentivize the Ravens to make a big move to solidify the middle."
