2012 TRAINING CAMP MEDIA POLICY

Interview Availability

Player Access:Select players and coaches will be made available in a podium setting on a regular basis. A list of players scheduled for the podium will be sent out every few days. Additionally, schedule-permitting, some players will be available for on-field interviews following practice. It is recommended that all interview requests be made at least 24 hours in advance and be submitted to Chad Steeleor Patrick Gleason. (Asking for a player at practice doesn't guarantee that you'll get him that day.)

*Note: Due to limited space and size constraints, there will be no open locker room media sessions during training camp. *

Head Coach Access: Coach Harbaugh will be available at the podium after every practice, with the exception of days when the offensive, defensive and special teams coordinators address media members.

Assistant Coach Interviews: Assistant coaches will only be available in a podium setting. All three coordinators will speak at the podium approximately every fourth day, while each position coach will be available at least once.

Reporting/Media Viewing

Photos and Video: Still photography and videotaping are only allowed during individual position drills or when players are entering the practice fields. (This includes the special teams' portion of practice.)

Tactical Information: As consistent with previous seasons, nothing can be reported that is of a tactical nature. This includes any information that can help an opponent prepare to play the Ravens. Formations, who is lining up where, who is rushing the quarterback (and from where), gimmick plays, etc. are included in tactical information.

Injuries: As required by the NFL, injuries that occur during open practices can be reported. However, unless a player is viewed at practice during these open sessions wearing protective or rehabilitative devices/equipment, these devices/equipment cannot be reported. (In other words, we are asking reporters to only report what they see on the practice field or in press conferences. We've had instances in recent years when media members lingered in our lobby and reported players wearing things such as protective boots.)

Electronic and Battery-Powered Equipment: These, especially cell phones, may not be used on the field. Reporters can return to the media room for any updates they wish to report. For those who have iPads or other tablets to take notes, these can be used, but only after receiving clearance from a Ravens' PR official.
