ALL PASSES CLAIMED FOR RAVENS TRAINING CAMP PRACTICES
Fans Flock to Secure a Spot for the 15 Free/Open Practices in Owings Mills
All passes to attend the Baltimore Ravens' 2018 Training Camp, presented by Verizon, were claimed in a matter of hours on Monday after the online reservation opened to the general public at 11 a.m.
This year's training camp will feature 15 free/open practices at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, with the ability to host nearly 2,000 fans per day.Â
The online reservation was on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing fans to secure a digital parking pass that admits one car's worth of people to the specific practice requested. (No longer did the team use a lottery system to grant fan admittance, however, there were a limited amount of parking passes available for each day.)
"We were thrilled to see the overwhelming response from our fans yesterday," Ravens vice president of marketing Brad Downs stated. "There is a lot of excitement surrounding this year's training camp and team, and we look forward to creating a special experience for fans when they visit practice in Owings Mills."Â
Following a year in which fans could not attend camp due to construction and parking renovations at the Under Armour Performance Center, the Ravens can now safely accommodate more people than ever before at their training facility. This year's capacity far outnumbers the 200 fans the team could host in 2012, when it began opening training camp practices in Owings Mills.
The Ravens' first full-team training camp practice will be held on Thursday, July 19. Baltimore begins training camp one week earlier this year, due to playing a fifth preseason contest in the annual Hall of Fame Game (Aug. 2 vs. Bears). The final date for fans attending training camp is Tuesday, Aug. 14.
Fireworks Night at M&T Bank Stadium – Free/Open to the Public (Saturday, July 21)
For fans who were unable to claim a pass to one of the practices at the Under Armour Performance Center, there is still an opportunity to watch the Ravens during training camp this year.
On Saturday, July 21 at 6 p.m., the Ravens will hold a free/open practice at M&T Bank Stadium, which will feature the organization's annual Fireworks Night. Highlighted by a post-practice player autograph session for children (ages 6-14) andafireworks/laser show, the practice will also have entertainment that includes interactive games, Baltimore's Marching Ravens, cheerleaders, Poe and live mascots Rise and Conquer. The Ravens Team Store and concessions stands will also be open.
