Press Release - Anquan Boldin Foundation Set For Q-Festival Weekend, Expanded Activites And Increase

The Anquan Boldin Foundation (Q81 Foundation) today announces they have expanded their annual Q-Festival Weekend to include the following events: The week-long Local Basketball Tournament in Pahokee, Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 12 at the Madison Green Golf Club in Royal Palm Beach, Boxing & Sparring event the evening of April 12 at Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center, Celebrity Basketball Game & Autograph Signing at 5:00pm on Friday, April 13 at the Pahokee High School gymnasium, "Stay Fit" 3K walk beginning at 7:00am along with the Fun Day in the Park activities at 11:00am on Saturday, April 14 at Pahokee High School's Anquan Boldin Stadium, and the Gospel Celebration featuring Tye Tribbett, the evening of April 14 at Redemptive Life Fellowship Church in West Palm Beach.

The Q81 Foundation also proudly develops its reach in to the communities with increased partnerships. Florida Crystals Corporation will be the primary sponsor for the Golf Tournament and Dinner. Florida Crystals began collaborating with the Q81 Foundation in 2011 and has reunited for work in the community in 2012, targeting quality after school programming. The Bible Church of God in Okeechobee, Florida is the Gold Medal Sponsor and also represents the board of the Q81 Foundation. Supporting the Q-Festival Weekend's food and beverage sponsorships, include Cheney Brothers, Sam's Club on 45th Street in West Palm Beach, Pepsi in Riviera Beach, and the Produce Connection. Smart Money Management Group, a longtime supporter who has been instrumental in the Golf Tournament planning. The Q81 Foundation's Bronze level sponsor, includes KDS Interior Design Studios, the newest supporter of the Anquan Boldin Foundation.

"The addition of events this year is due to the many requests by people in the community to make Q-Fest bigger," said Anquan Boldin, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver and recent inductee of the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame. "We're expecting over 30 NFL players to attend Q-Fest and over 4,000 guests, throughout April 12-14, which is the largest so far. The increase of activities and support speaks volumes to what Q-Fest means to both the local community and businesses."

The Q81 Foundation, established in Pahokee area in 2004 by Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowler Anquan Boldin, set forth a goal to provide assistance to underprivileged youth throughout many markets and internationally, primarily for kids 13 and up who have very limited resources and support.
