Press Release - Businesses Reissue 'Show Your Purple Pride Challenge'

M&T Bank, Legg Mason and Constellation Energy are again challenging all companies in the greater Baltimore community to show their purple pride in support of the Baltimore Ravens as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Divisional Playoff game on Saturday (1/15) at 4:30 p.m.

Companies are again encouraged to allow their employees to wear Ravens purple and light their buildings to show support for the team. Participating businesses can upload photos of their team spirit to www.facebook.com/baltimoreravens. The Ravens will then select the company that demonstrates the most purple pride. The winning company will receive a visit by Poe and the Ravens Cheerleaders at its next office event. As an added incentive, this week's winning company will receive an autographed Jarret Johnson football and the opportunity for four employees to meet Jarret at 98 Rock's PlayList Show at Alonso's on Monday (1/17) from 6-8 p.m.

"The Ravens are in the middle of a great run to the Super Bowl, and it's time for businesses in the city – both large and small – to step up and show the team how proud we are," said Woody Collins, President and COO of M&T Bank's Mid-Atlantic Division. "Let's paint this town purple!"

"More than 20 companies submitted pictures of their Purple Pride events last Friday. Now it's time to once again show the Ravens how support for the team is spreading throughout the greater Baltimore area. Again this Friday, we are encouraging all companies to come together to show their purple pride and share their rallies with the entire fan base by uploading their photos" said Constellation Energy's Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer Mayo A. Shattuck III.

The winner of last week's challenge, Legg Mason, will host a rally at 11:35 a.m. at Harbor East for all area businesses. "The challenge is for everyone in Baltimore, not just the business community, to enhance their purple pride and cheer the Ravens onto another WIN!" said Legg Mason's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mark R. Fetting.
