The Baltimore Ravens and two-time Pro Bowl TE Owen Daniels have reached an agreement on a one-year contract, pending the passing of a physical, general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced Thursday evening.
The Ravens are attempting to bring Daniels to Baltimore on Friday (April 4) for his physical. Please note that there could be an opportunity for him to address media in person or on a conference call.
An eight-year NFL veteran, Daniels, 31, has seen action in 100 career games (96 starts) while playing each season of his career for the Houston Texans. The former fourth-round draft choice (Wisconsin) has compiled 385 receptions for 4,617 yards (12.0 avg.) and 29 touchdowns. Since he entered the league in 2006, the 6-3, 249-pounder has produced the NFL's eighth-most catches and the seventh-most receiving yards among NFL tight ends.
In Texans franchise history, Daniels ranks second in career receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
