Press Release - Ravens Sign FB McKie, Waive S Hamlin

The Baltimore Ravens signed eight-year veteran FB Jason McKie Tuesday afternoon, executive vice president/general manager Ozzie Newsome announced.

To create room on the 53-man roster for McKie, Baltimore released S Ken Hamlin.

McKie began the 2010 campaign in training camp with the New Orleans Saints and played in three preseason games before being waived. Seeing action in 16 games (11 starts) for Chicago last season, the 5-11, 247-pounder spent seven years playing for the Bears.

In 88 career games (47 starts), McKie has totaled 29 rushes for 84 yards and three touchdowns. He has also posted 68 receptions for 364 yards and three scores.

Hamlin, who signed with Baltimore this past offseason, played in seven games for the Ravens.
