Ravens Players Spread Holiday Cheer

Several Ravens players will be in our community Monday (12/12) and Tuesday (12/13) to spread cheer to some of Maryland's less fortunate residents during the holiday season. The players will host and support numerous events within the upcoming weeks to deliver gifts and joy throughout the Baltimore area.

**Monday, Dec. 12

RavensRB Ray Rice** will join Governor Martin O'Malley and Orioles 2B Brian Roberts in hosting a holiday party at Port Discovery Children's Museum for youth patients from a local hospital and their siblings. The evening will include gifts for the children, playtime throughout Port Discovery and dinner.

Tuesday, Dec. 13

Ravens players including CB Chris Carr, DE Arthur Jones and CB Cary Williams will join Ravens cheerleaders and mascot Poe at Union Memorial Hospital, a division of MedStar Health, the official medical partner of the Baltimore Ravens. The group will spread cheer to patients who are unable to be home for the holidays.

DE Cory Redding will host a reward luncheon for students of Garrison Middle School who have successfully completed the incentive-based program he implemented at the beginning of the school year. Students were asked to sign a pledge stating that they would come to school every day prepared to learn, be respectful, follow all rules and make a maximum effort in learning and completing all assignments. Students who succeeded in following these guidelines received tickets to Ravens home games this season, courtesy of Redding, and will participate in the celebratory luncheon.

DB Danny Gorrer, CB Jimmy Smith and QB Tyrod Taylor will visit the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y to distribute Christmas dinner baskets to 150 Baltimore-area families in need. The Ravens have partnered with Giant Food, the official supermarket partner of the Baltimore Ravens, to provide dinner baskets that will include a turkey and side dishes.

LB Ray Lewis will host his annual Holiday Gift Marketplace at the Walmart in Port Covington on Tuesday (12/13). More than 200 local underserved youth attend the special event, and each child is invited to "shop" for themselves and their families from an assortment of gifts.

Please note that additional events will be held the week of Christmas. All groups/families have pre-registered for the events listed below.
