The Ravens brought in more depth in the secondary, signing defensive back Marrio Norman on Tuesday.

Baltimore has suffered a couple injuries already at cornerback with Lardarius Webb's back injury "lingering" and Aaron Ross heading to injured reserve (Achilles).

Norman was invited to Ravens minicamp for a tryout, but was not immediately signed.

Norman played with the Arena Football League's Cleveland Gladiators last season and collected 57.5 tackles and seven interceptions in 12 games. The year before, he led the Georgia Force with 73 tackles and had five interceptions.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound South Carolina native played college football at Coastal Carolina. He earned first-team All-Big South Conference honors after recording 53 tackles and five interceptions as a junior in 2007. He was limited by injuries as a senior.

The Ravens waived wide receiver Gerrard Sheppard (Towson) to make room for Norman. Sheppard spent most of last year on the practice squad. He was originally cut during training camp but later re-signed.
