The Ravens have built the foundation of their practice squad for the upcoming season.
After trimming the roster to 53 players Saturday, the team has signed seven players to* *the practice squad. That still officially leaves three open spots on the practice squad.
The players signed to the practice squad are:
- S Nick Perry
- WR Jeremy Butler
- QB Bryn Renner
- OLB Brennen Beyer
- OL Kaleb Johnson
- OL De'Ondre Wesley
- TE Konrad Reuland
The Ravens have also reportedly agreed to bring former Houston Texans cornerback Charles James to the practice squad, according to Peter Schrager of FOX. James also tweeted "#Bmore" Sunday afternoon.
Undrafted rookie receiver Daniel Brown also appears to be joining the practice squad, as he tweeted "headed back to Baltimore! #RavensNation."
The team has not confirmed the signing of James or Brown.
A potential practice squad candidate who landed elsewhere was rookie offensive lineman Robert Myers. The Ravens cut the fifth-round pick after he struggled during the preseason and the team was already deep along the offensive line, but he was claimed off waivers by the Colts.
Cornerback Asa Jackson was claimed by the Giants off waivers.
