Ravens Re-Sign Chidobe Awuzie

ChidoV2

Last offseason's signing of Chidobe Awuzie was one of the Ravens' best, and they're running it back in 2026.

Awuzie has re-signed with the Ravens, the team announced Thursday. It's a one-year deal worth $5 million, per The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec.

Awuzie, 30, had a strong first season in Baltimore and was at times the team's best cornerback.

He played in 14 games, including five starts, broke up seven passes, and notched 43 tackles. Among cornerbacks who played at least 20% of their team's snaps, Awuzie had the 13th-highest Pro Football Focus grade in the league.

Awuzie forced tight-window throws on 27.6% of his targets, per Next Gen Stats. That's a higher percentage than Marlon Humphrey (21.1%) and Nate Wiggins (20.4%), who he would team up with again.

Baltimore also has T.J. Tampa, Keyon Martin, and other cornerbacks returning and could supplement the group through the draft. But bringing back Awuzie helps solidify the unit's depth.
