Ravens Sign International Defensive Lineman to Practice Squad

The Ravens have signed defensive tackle David Olajiga to their practice squad, adding another international player to groom.

Olajiga, who hails from London, takes the 17th practice squad spot reserved for international players.

He takes the spot vacated by defensive tackle C.J. Okoye, another international player (Nigeria) who has moved up to the Ravens' 53-man roster and been a pleasant developmental surprise.

After playing collegiately at Central Missouri, the 6-foot-3, 310-pound Olajiga spent last season on the Los Angeles Rams' practice squad as part of the International Player Pathway. He signed with the New England Patriots this summer and was again on their practice squad until he was released on Oct. 16.

Olajiga has not yet played in an NFL regular-season game, but neither had Okoye before this season.
