Hints Given For NFL Schedule Release

Get ready to mark your calendars.

The NFL schedule traditionally comes out every April, and some recent clues suggest that the 2013 schedule release is just two weeks away.

A report from the Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand says that the NFL will announce the schedule April 16.

And a look through the TV guide gives some validity to the report.

A schedule release show was spotted on the NFL Network's online listings for April 16 at 8 p.m. The league typically announces the schedule with a special on NFL Network, so it's possible that the listing could accurately give away the surprise.

An April 16 announcement would also mesh with the NFL's approach in recent years, as they have released the schedule on a Tuesday in April for five straight years.

The NFL hasn't commented on the Sports Business Journal report, and it typically does not give much advance notice of when the full schedule will be revealed.

Some aspects of the Ravens schedule are already known, like their opponents and the fact that they'll open the season on the road Sept. 5.  Beyond that opening game, the rest of the dates are up in the air.

Here's the full list of the 2013 opponents:

Pittsburgh Steelers

Cleveland Browns
New England Patriots
New York Jets
Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings
Houston Texans

Away:

Denver Broncos
